So we’ve hit that time of year when we “fall back”. Night sets in a little sooner, and the air stays a tad bit crisper all day long. With the onset of the cold season, (my favorite season) I find myself hustling home to curl up on the couch, fuzzy slippered and a warm bowl of soup in hand.
Today my bike ride home was weighed down by my trip to whole foods, and no joke, I was dragging! ugh. Cold and windy, bit of a drizzle and not a spec of color in the sky. It was on this dreary ride I dreamed up this recipe exchange with my friends and family. At times I find myself sort of baffled by the diversity of my friends and family, but rather than do a tug of war to reconcile where I am and where I come from, I’ve decided to let them come together in the kitchen.
This is more than a blog, this is a project — a collaborative effort, tying together the loose ends of all the friends I’ve made in the last couple of years.
Hearts to the Midwest.
